Child Labor

I have finally put my foot down. I spend hours washing, drying, folding and putting away the laundry. And then the first time the kids get dressed, everything is unfolded and a giant mess. So I came up with a solution. I will wash and dry but the kids fold and put away.

Even hubby folds his own clothes (mostly because I have to wander the house and find all of his dirty clothes to wash.) Munchkin does a great job. The clothes don't look great but she is so proud of herself. And now, all my hard work isn't wasted. As long as the shirts get into the shirt drawer, and the underwear into the underwear drawer and the pants, jammas and skirts are where they belong, I am happy.

Adventures in Hairstyling

Munchkin loves trying new things. She loves having her hair out of her face...although some days not enough to let me do it. She loves having mini 'bunnies' all over her head and the resulting curls.
step one: mini bunnies
Step 2: Bozo the clown

Step three: curly sue
Wouldn't it be nice to be three again. You can wear whatever you want, have your hair however and everyone still thinks you're adorable because you're three.

Ode to the Best Sleeper in the World

Your first night home, you slept 5 hours before I woke you to eat. The second night, you slept 7 hours before I woke you. The third night, I was tired and I didn't wake you. Eight hours and 15 minutes after we put you to bed, you decided to wake up and eat.

And still, to this day, you sleep all night long, every night...unless you have croup or ear infections or teeth hurting you. But you did manage to pop out your last tooth with just a fever and a bit of grumpiness, while still sleeping all night.

Thank you for this wonderful gift.
