One Down

This summer is going to be the summer of the onesie. (Well, for all those that aren't potty trained.) I bought Squirt a pack of 12 month onesies a month ago with the intent to embellish them so they could become her summer wardrobe. (Good thing it kept snowing and raining and being cold since I hadn't done anything with them.) Onesies are easy. Easy on, easy off. This is important especially because when I try to put her in cute shirts, and ask hubby to take it off of her so she can enjoy some chocolate animal crackers without destroying her white shirt...this happens: HE destroyed her shirt! Apparently my husband is too strong and manly for sweet little flower buttons. (In all fairness, I am pretty sure this shirt was a hand-me-down from cousin Leah (who is almost 8) and has also been through Thumbelina and Squirt. Whatever!)

So after lots of research, I decided on a design for my first one.

Start to finish it probably took me about 30 minutes. And cost was minimal. I used a crib sheet that never fit right (but came in a pack of 3) for the flowers and little pearls for the middle.
I love it, but didn't take into account that she turns 1 at the beginning of the summer and won't fit into the 12 month size for very long.

That is super cute. And Squirt is a doll face! Love the hair bow and bracelet too!

I love the creativity you have. I wish I had a girl to dress up, but for now we just have boys and there are plenty of hand me downs. She is super cute!
We love bike rides too! We take a few each day.
