We had the boy's baptism on Saturday. He was so excited and just a little bit nervous. On the ride there, he kept asking his Dad to hold him under the water longer.
I made a baptism subway art for the Primary Baptism Fireside we had. So I used that at the baptism. We also took a picture of the boy and had people sign the mat. Now I just have to put his baptism picture in it and we can hang it.

A couple of his friends from school came--which was way cool for him.

Hubby did it backwards the first time so the boy got dunked twice.

The boy went with hubby to the baptism of a guy hubby works with, so this guy wanted to come to the boy's baptism. My family came, including my uncle and a few cousins that we haven't seen in a long time. In fact, my uncle was the only family member that helped bless the boy when he was a baby. We'll have to have him help again when the boys gets the priesthood.
It was a great day and we had so many friends there to help us celebrate this day with the coolest boy ever!
Ahhh... Congrats to him!! That is so exciting.
ReplyDeletePaige is beside herself excited for June when she gets baptized. Your stuff looks so cute. I may have to copy some of your ideas ;)
Yeah, I want to second how cute your ideas are! I have one getting baptized in July. Any chance you'd share your baptism subway art? I would LOVE to make something like that. I have no idea how though! Maybe you could just teach me how instead?!
ReplyDeleteGreat job-- looks good. I can't believe how big your kids are! I guess I froze Norah at about 10 months or so, so imagine my surprise to see a real kid there!
ReplyDeletedo you still have your subway art? I'd like some. And I wish I would have known this stuff for Aaron because I feel bad to do it for just the girls and he doesn't get one. Sigh. But I"m really interested in the subway art.
